Michael Jackson’s Daughter Paris Proudly Identifies As Black Despite Having Fair Skin & Blue Eyes

Considering what Paris endured in the last few years, asking people to sign an NDA doesn’t seem far-fetched. An unidentified man had stalked the music icon’s daughter for four years. She beefed up security after the stalker snuck into her home in August 2023 and peeped through the windows.

Paris wasn’t home then, but a friend was, and they accosted the trespasser in the backyard, who fled. Paris filed a restraining order a month later requesting that the man stay away from her, indoors or at any place, and her property by at least 100 yards. The man, who she claimed she first met in 2018 and had been sending her unwanted messages since 2019, was also not to contact her online.

It was, therefore, not so surprising when Paris turned up at the Elizabeth Taylor Ball To End AIDS on Sept. 21, 2023, accompanied by her Doberman pinscher, Koa. The model appeared in a glittering champagne-gold dress with a high slit and one-shoulder. A cutout at the top showed off her chest tattoos, and she paired the gown with golden Christian Louboutin platform heels and a matching purse.

Fans were happy to see her and gushed over her in the comment section of The Hollywood Reporter’s Twitter post.

“A wonderful woman who’s dad saved the music industry and Paris is following in his footsteps,” a fan remarked. Another fan wrote, “Beautiful and then even more beautiful and elegant.”

“Absolutely gorgeous,” another admirer gushed. A fourth person commented, “Absolutely STUNNING,” while a fifth user wrote, “How cute.”

Someone also pointed out how Koa stood beside her. “Dog surely loves her,too. But I’m not sure if all the hoopla, flashlights, etc…” they remarked.

Since Paris is a model, she often attends fashion events wearing clothes from high-end luxury brands. In one particular moment in April 2023, Paris shocked people with her outfit when she attended a fashion event.

In a video shared on her Instagram account, the singer/actress wore a body-hugging dress by renowned French haute couture designer Jean Paul Gaultier. Although her dress featured long sleeves and an ankle-length skirt, many people had to look twice as the outfit had a print of a naked woman’s body, which gave the illusion that Paris wasn’t wearing anything underneath the dress.

Styled by Dani + Emma, the complete naked dress look was accessorized with minimal rings, earrings, and Y2K-inspired sunglasses. She also wore a simple pair of black, open-toe heels. Regarding her hair and makeup, the singer wore her ombré brunette/blonde hair down, and it looked like it was wet. It also appeared that she wore her signature eyeliner.

To top off her look, Paris brought a dog with her, which complemented the color of her dress. The lovely pet appeared to have stayed with her throughout the event, as one photo shows her seated at the fashion show while the canine rested on the floor.

According to Vogue, the body design on the clothing has been around since the ’90s, and Gaultier later reworked it as a collaboration with Y/Project and Lotta Volkova. Since the release of the updated version, the naked dress trend has taken over the fashion world as influencers and celebrities have worn and styled it for different events.

After the actress shared the video with her followers, her comment section was divided. Some online users loved her outfit, while others weren’t pleased.

“Art is fine…… but my 6 year old daughter doesn’t need to see nude bodies. Keep this away from the kids and keep it on a runway for only adults,” one commented.

“Is there a point to this dress? And when do we start leaving things to the imagination versus having to see everything on display? Sorry Paris this outfit was a flop,” another one wrote.

“Just because you CAN doesn’t mean you SHOULD…” one expressed.

Another comment even brought up her father, Michael, as they noted that he wouldn’t have liked her outfit.

“I will never understand the need to show everything even sheer veiled… Something tells me Michael would not have liked this,” one commented.

Another user added, “But if Michael Jackson was living, he wouldn’t let it be .. no noooo.”

Despite the negative comments on her post, fans still defended Paris for her fashion choice and explained that she was not explicitly naked, but rather, the dress was printed.

“Why are so many people complaining?! It’s literally a Printed dress! Beside this is She covered completely from head to toe, like calm down. It’s also not her problem if you can’t contain your thoughts,” one wrote.

As expected, Paris never responded to the criticisms she hurled her way. At the time, one of her father’s longstanding bodyguards described her and her siblings as “well-mannered, well-behaved kids” and “really level-headed.” Michael’s publicist revealed they were their father’s “first priority.”

Since she was young, many people have seen similarities between Paris and her father, Michael. Even Paris’ brother, Prince, attested to this.

“Basically, as a person, she is who my dad is. The only thing that’s different would be her age and her gender,” Prince told Rolling Stone. “In all of her strengths, and almost all of her weaknesses as well. She’s very passionate. She is very emotional to the point where she can let emotion cloud her judgment.”

But like any teenager who lost their parent, Paris also succumbed to having troubling thoughts.

“It was just self-hatred… Low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn’t do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore,” Paris told People Magazine about her multiple suicide attempts.

Thankfully, Paris overcame that harrowing period in her life. At 26, she’s living life and pursuing art and fashion. Despite everything, Paris never forgot what her father inculcated in her mind.

“I consider myself Black,” she told Rolling Stone, despite having fair skin. She even recalled how her dad “would look me in the eyes and he’d point his finger at me and he’d be like, ‘You’re Black. Be proud of your roots.’ And I’d be like, ‘OK, he’s my dad, why would he lie to me?’ So I just believe what he told me. ’Cause, to my knowledge, he’s never lied to me.”

Many have been confused about Michael’s race because he had fair skin later on in life, but it was only because of a skin condition called Vitiligo that his dark skin changed its pigmentation.

He even insisted to Oprah Winfrey that the only thing he got plastic surgery for was his nose, and he denied allegations of skin bleaching.

“I am proud of my race. I am proud of who I am,” he added.
